Unlike traditional integrations that require manual key entry, this connection utilizes a modern "Sign in with Xero" flow, allowing you to link your accounts securely without ever handling complex API strings.
How To Connect This
Linking Xero is a seamless process that uses the OAuth 2.0 protocol. You simply log in to your Xero account through a secure window, and the integration handles the rest. Step 1 – Initiate Connection: In your platform dashboard, navigate to Tools → Integrations → Xero and click the "Connect to Xero" button. Step 2 – Secure Login: A secure Xero login window will appear. Enter your Xero credentials (email and password). If you have Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enabled, you will be prompted to verify your identity. Step 3 – Authorize Permissions: Select the specific Xero organization you wish to connect from the dropdown menu. You will see a list of requested permissions (e.g., viewing invoices or managing contacts); click "Allow Access" to grant permission. Step 4 – Mapping and Sync: Once authorized, you will be redirected back to our dashboard. From here, you can map your chart of accounts or tax rates to ensure your data flows into the correct categories. Your first sync will begin automatically.

This means we never see or store your Xero password; instead, we receive a secure, short-lived "access token" to communicate with the Xero API. All tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256 standards.
